3rd Annual Gloucester MPARC Hamfest Flyer - 2023 Vendor Registration Form

3rd Annual MPARC Hamfest April 8, 2023

That’s right, this is the club’s 3rd annual Hamfest. We are proud to announce that we have reserved the Abingdon Ruritan Club both indoor and the parking lot for this event. So, this will be a rain or shine event.

We have indoor spaces for $20.00 and outdoor spaces for $10.00. Each space indoors will consist of two 5’ round tables side by side to display your items for sale. Electricity will be available, but you must bring extension cords. Chairs will be provided. The outdoor spaces will be approximately 10’x10’ and vendors will need to provide their own tables to show their wares and no electricity will be available. We have secured a food truck which will have food and beverages for sale. The club will be holding drawings for door prizes throughout the day every hour on the hour. Vendor spaces will receive one ticket for the door prizes with more available for purchase. Admission for buyers is to be $5.00 and comes with one door prize ticket, again more door prize tickets will be available for purchase. In addition to the door prizes MPARC will be holding a raffle for a ICOM 718 HF Radio. Tickets for the raffle are currently on sale through some club members. The tickets for the raffle are $5.00 each and there are only 200 tickets to go around. With the generous donation from Bob Beltz, we are also going to raffle off a HAMMO Can portable 2 meter radio go box. These tickets will only be available at the Hamfest. They will be $5.00 and only 50 will be sold so come early and get yours. The two raffle prizes will be on display throughout the day with the drawings around 3:00pm but you do not have to be present to win the raffle prizes.

If you are interested in obtaining a space to sell your extra equipment, see the flyer below for contact information. You can call or email to make sure tables are still available or just print out the Registration Form and mail it along with your payment to the address on the registration form.

Thanks to Debbie (KN4PKA), Becky (KN4PKD), Joy (W2JMS) and Alan (KM4VTT) for planning and setting-up this event.

Special thanks to Pedro (KM4INA) for the music, Dean (N2TNN) and Becky (KN4PKD) for cornhole, Alan (KM4VTT) for running the cornhole tournament and grilling the burgers, dogs, and brats along with Debbie’s husband, Bill.   Will (K4MI) for handling the raffles, Bob (KM4WYJ) for the donated ham equipment for our raffle and everyone for the delicious food & desserts, and to everyone who helped set-up and clean-up.

We are deeming this a very successful event and are already planning the next one.

Our second annual swap meet was held on May 7, 2022 at the Abingdon Ruritan Club. Inclement weather around the area seemed to cause a lower than hoped turn-out, but the sky remained clear overhead till well passed then end of the event. Those that did attend were happy and had the pick of the litter! Raffle winners were ecstatic and most everyone indicated they would be looking forward to next year. We hope to see more in 2023. The 2022 flyer is available here for historical purposes.
